Holointerferometry with a double pulse ruby laser as a light source was applied to record transient out-of-plane motion. Propagating bending waves were studied in the shells made of steel. a focused ruby laser beam caused short impact loading. the method based on the nonparaxial imaging equations and on the holographic impaging equations by using of the Ennos procedure was developed to evaluate the holointerferograms
