The procedures used for development of the finite element (FE) model of the human skull from the computer tomograph (CT) scanning are briefly described. The reliability of the FE model for dynamical calculations and analysis of the vibrational characteristics was tested by modal analysis comparing the results with the lowest natural frequencies and mode shapes of vibration of the identical skull measured in the laboratory
