The work treats the elastic wave propagation in the basic elements of structures. Results of analytical computations (generalized ray theory), numerical simulations (FEM implemented in MARC/MENTAT) and experimental results (broadband piezoceramic transducers) are compared mutually. Samples with the most commom shape transitions are used
