The student will obtain a database measuring in at least 20 volunteers 50 minutes of two channel ECG, distal pulse measured at the finger and breathing while listening to music. After measurements, the student will develop algorithms to ascertain which is the proper processing of the pulse signal to estimate the heart rate variability when compared to that obtained with the ECG.
