The Energy Institute at Istanbul Technical University has renewable energy equipment for research and education; two wind turbines, different kind of solar modules using diverse technology and a meteorology station. The aim of the project is to build up a real time, on-line data collection system for collecting and broadcasting all of the renewable energy production facilities and weather station‟s data in one terminal at the laboratory of the institute. The study first makes an overview on some renewable power technologies, describing how they operate and analysing them, follows explaining the particular energy facilities at the institute and how they collect data and finally tries to develop a system based on the software Labview...
