How to remove this noise has always been studied in image processing field. This project is a research on de-noising algorithms for one kind of noise, Poisson noise. There are two principal methods, but this work is focused on the one which uses variance stabilization transforms which transforms Poisson distributions into Gaussian ones. Different transforms and Gaussian filters are presented and their effectiveness is studied.
