Se trata la aplicación de un método variacional de elementos finitos (Raleigh Ritz) a la resolución de la ecuación de la difusión de neutrones en un medio absorbente con fuente distribuida. Se analizan con cierto detalle los problemas de establecimiento del funcional, generación de malla y almacenamiento de la matriz.
