The Regional Identity in the Borderlands

This volume is devoted to the subject of regional identity, which was the focus of the conference "European, National, or Regional Identity". The first section contains papers that have been based on longterm research on the population of the Euroregion Nisa. The population's identification with the region in the Czech part is generally based on the its environmental and aesthetic qualities. The second part of the volume contains papers with a theoretical orientation. Authors comment the relationships that the local border ů region community maintains toward the prospect of European integration
