Nowadays, due to the wide range of applications, the presence of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances is increasing in the environment. Aquatic organisms are very useful bioindicators in order to assess the health of the aquatic environment. Within this objective, grey mullet (Chelon Labrosus) livers and oysters (Ostrea edulis)of the French, Basque, Spanish and Portuguese coasts were analysed. In the case of the liver, perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS), perfluorodecanoic acid (PFDA) and per-fluorooctane sulfonamide (PFOSA) were the detected target analytes in all the sam-pling points.
