"Airborne Wind Energy" es una tecnología emergente que se basa en el uso de "kites" (cometas) para generar energía eólica. Es una alternativa a los aerogeneradores convencionales con mucho potencial, pero la aerodinámica del kite ha sido poco estudiada. El presente proyecto trata de contribuir al conocimiento del rendimiento aerodinámico de un kite mediante testeo en túnel de viento. Los experimentos permiten evaluar los efectos que la velocidad del viento, la curvatura lateral del kite y la aplicación de frenos tienen en el rendimiento aerodinámico del kite
