Employment policy in the first New Deal

This bachelor thesis deals with problems of unemployment in the United States of America during the 30th years of the twentieth century, and especially the various projects in support of employment for the presidency of Franklin Delano Roosevelt in the period of the first New Deal. Realization of these large public work projects was a response to the outbreak of the Great Depression, which resulted in the emergence of the historically highest levels of unemployment in U.S. history. Unemployment policy was the first step to state intervention and the consolidation of authority of the federal government through high government expenditure. These were necessary for financing of these therapy projects. For this reason, I analyze the influence of government spending to the federal budget and the growth and decline of unemployment from 1929 to 1935 (1940) and consequently their impact on the U.S. economy
