The Involvement of the Czech Republic in the Post-conflict Reconstruction in Afghanistan

This thesis refers to the solution to the ongoing conflict in one of the poorest and most unstable states in the world -- in Afghanistan. Historical aspects of this conflict lasting since 2001 are analysed as well as factors determining the character of the Afghan society. Further, this thesis deals with the development of the conflict and with the post-conflict reconstruction, which will contribute considerably to its solution. There are lots of internal and external participants in the post-conflict reconstruction. One of them is the Czech Republic operating as a member of the international community. The Czech contribution is thoroughly described in the case study, which forms the last chapter of this thesis
