Static neutron radiography (SNR) technique is a very powerful tool used to evaluate the petrophysical properties of rocks. By exploiting the uniqueness of neutron attenuation capability, this technique has the potential to estimate the total porosity of rock sample at any thickness. The SNR utilises the attenuation of neutrons by the matrix that results in different transmission intensity at different porosity. About four samples of rock that have different porosity were evaluated using this technique and the results were put side by side to the one obtained from conventional core analysis.
