Evaluation of the acceding process of Slovakia to the European Monetary Union

The main aim of this thesis is the evaluation of the acceding process of Slovakia to the European Monetary Union. The first part is focused on establishing the EMU and on possible effects of entering the EMU. At the end of the first part there are mentioned the Maastricht convergence criteria. The next part asseses the fullfilment of these criteria by Slovakia. In this part there are also included the characteristics of separated stages of euro implementation. The third part gives information about previously prepared steps from Slovak government. In conclusion there is a summary of advantages and disadvantages of euro adoption
