The aim of this paper is to describe and evaluate the development and the present form of the investment incentive system in the Czech Republic. Partial target is represented with its future form examination. The chapters include the description of the necessary legislation related to this topic, the comparison of the support programs and the development in receiving investment incentives concerning the manufacturing industry and the technology and strategic service centres. Eventually, the paper answers the question whether incentives should be preserved for the manufacturing industry in the future or should be fully oriented towards the technology and strategic service centres
