Islam in the politics of Arabian countries, culturally historical context. A case study: Saudi Arabia

This bachelor thesis deals with Islam in the politics of Arabian countries and with its culturally historical context. A case study is concerned with Saudi Arabia. As far as historical context is concerned, the thesis focuses on the territory of The Arabian peninsula, especially. The aim of the thesis is to find out, how Islam influenced a political organization in the individual state units from the time of the prophet Mohammed to the fall of the Ottoman Empire and how Islam influences a political organization of Saudi Arabia today. The thesis divides into three parts. The first part of the thesis devotes to historical context of Islam. A second part of the thesis deals with Islamic culture including its duties and practices, Islamic law sharia or cultural dimensions of Arabian world according to the studies of Geert Hofstede. The last part of the thesis is the case study
