The Fight of the Czech Republic against Unemployment with Help of the European Union

The aim of the thesis is to introduce and evaluate usage of instruments and arrangements which the Czech Republic keeps at disposal in fight with unemployment. That means not only the usage of national instruments but also arrangements of the European Union. The beginning of thesis describes the basic theory of unemployment. Next two parts address the employment policy of the Czech Republic and the European Union and introduce programs of the European Social Fund used in the Czech Republic. The next part analyzes development of unemployment in the Czech Republic from 1989 until the recent economic crises. The fifth part evaluates the usage of instruments of active employment policy, especially requalification, financial means from the European Social Fund and evaluates the realized project. The end of the thesis includes suggestions how to solve unemployment
