Interbank payment systems in the Czech and Hungarian Republic

This bachelor thesis is an analysis about interbank payment systems operating in the Czech and Hungarian Republic. In the introduction, you will find a description of the general forms of payments and payment systems. It follows a detailed characterization of the Czech clearing centre CERTIS and their Hungarian equivalents VIBER and BKR. After the depiction of the historical development and the legislative arrangement of each system, it focuses on the main principles of their operation, the different ways of participating in these systems, the security level of the system, and the pricing policy of their operators. The thesis also contains a direct comparison of the selected aspects of the mentioned systems, whereas it keeps the latest published statistical data. In the end of the thesis, you will find a brief summary of the newest trends observable by the payment systems of the surveyed lands
