Standards and methodics of Business Process Modelling

This thesis is a recherché of some significant standards and methodics of Business Process Modeling. The importance of Business Processes, Process Management and Process Modeling has significantly increased over the past years and is thus becoming one of the key competitiveness factors of an organization. Business Process Modeling is not only used on the field of analysis and optimization of Business Processes and Business Process Reengineering, but also in the areas of inter-company cooperation, Business Information Systems and Web services. The thesis describes following standards and methodics: IDEF, UML, BPMN, BPML, BPEL, EPC, ARIS, MMABP. It also suggests a procedure, which the company can follow while selecting a suitable standard and a general classification of standards
