The bachelor thesis deals with an analysis of property insurance of population in conditions of the Czech insurance market. It is kind of a general insurance that people may use to protect against inconvenient events. The first part of the thesis reminds historical evolution and analyses the insurance market and organizations which are focused on this topic. There is also an explanation of fundamental terms, the general insurance of population is set into the system, further it specifies particular kinds of insurance that deals with household and building insurance. In the next part, there is a description of insurance progress from a contract to a liquidating operation including disbursement of the insurance. There are also concrete examples. In the final part, there is comparison of some products of three insurance companies -- Česká pojišťovna, Česká podnikatelská pojišťovna and Allianz
