Romanies in the Czech Republic

The aim of my bachelor's thesis is to provide an overview oh the situation and behaviour of Romanies in the Czech Republic. The paper deals with particular characteristics of the Roma population, the history and population's prospects in the future. The text is divided into four parts. The first one addresses the history of the Roma population, where Romanies came from, when they appeared in the Czech territory or what was their fate during the Second World War. The second part focuses on demographic characteristics of Roma population. The third part is devoted to social features, particularly to the matters of education and economic activity. The last part of this thesis discusses the projection of Roma population in the future
