The thesis deals with an analysis of objectives of the Lisbon Strategy in two EU countries, the Czech Republic and Denmark. It comes out from development of European politics, which is aiming to become the most competitive knowledge-based economy in the world. The progress covers the time period starting in the year 2000. The content of this thesis includes a set of information characterizing both chosen economies from the geographical, politic-economic, socio-cultural, and technical point of view. Based on hard data, it compares both European countries in axes of the revised Lisbon Strategy.
