Based on the School-Based Curriculum (KTSP), the purpose of learning English is to develop students’ competence in oral and written communication in order to reach the functional literacy.Islamic Senior High School DarulHikmah is one of the schools in Pekanbaru that used this curriculum in teaching and learning process.
