This research aims at investigating the effect of Using Hand Signals Strategy in teaching reading comprehension at the second year of state Junior High School 9 Tualang. It has three formulations of the problems that focus on finding out about (1) the levels of students’ reading comprehension of recount text taught by using Hand Signals Strategy (2) the levels of the students’ reading comprehension of recount text taught without using Hand Signals Strategy (3) whether there is a significant effect of using Hand Signals Strategy on students’ reading comprehension at the second year of State Junior High School 9 Tualang.
