A study on water quality based on physico-chemical parameters and toxic heavy metals were carried out from October 2010 and January 2011 at Kuantan River, Pahang, Malaysia. Three stations were expected to be polluted was chosen to be studied in this project. The three chosen stations were area near to fish landing jetty, adjacent to the Hospital Kuantan and River estuary, in which in-situ measurements, samples were collected during low tides time zone and samplings for laboratory analysis were carried out. The results of the study showed that nitrate concentration ranged from 0.6-3.2 mg/L during October (pre-monsoon) while during January (post-monsoon) the ranged from 1.0 – 3.1 mg/L.
