Rapid urbanization during the 1970’s and 1980’s has shown greater impact to urban and housing development in Kuala Lumpur from the previous era. But during the 1990’s due to better economic condition and changing urban dwellers’ lifestyle had led to counter urbanization of development. According to cencus in year 2000, population of Kuala Lumpur are at 1.29 million people far below projection by Kuala Lumpur Structure Plan 2000 (1984) at 2.2 million people by year 2000.
