In this paper, I argue against A-movement reconstruction, based on English and Korean data, thus supporting the thesis against A-movement reconstruction as advocated by Chomsky (1995) and Lasnik (1999) among others. The result of the present research also has a nontrivial theoretical implication for pronominal binding, which as I claim should apply derivationaIly as opposed to Fox (2000) and Sportiche (2001)
