To evaluate the adrenergic receptors which mediate glycogenolysis of rat liver, glycogenolytic response to adrenergic agonists and antagonistic effects of ergotamine and propranolol against glycogenolytic response of epinephrine were investigated using liver perlusion method. The results are summarized as follow: 1. ~ arke d and dose-dependent increase of glucose in the perfusate were produced by ppinephrine and norepinephine but glycogenolytic response to isoprotererrol was not marked as to epinephrine and norepinephrine. 2. Glycogenolytic response to epinephrine was more inhibited by ergotamine than by propranolol.
