Technique of the Sacred - Morphology of the Cosmological Time-Space Constructing Sesigi

Sesigi refers to the writings which recorded the seasonal rites and customs according to almanac. In Sesigi, we find a variety of temporal rites fixed at specific dates without any obvious reasons. The reason why to do particular rites at particular dates is only explained by the power of tradition. Following Marcel Granet, I tried to show that the rites in Sesigi was the products of the diffusion of calender, the sophistication of calendrical system, and the gradual disintegration of ancient big ritual. To do the same practices at the same dates, necessarily we must have the same calendar. Moreover, A year in which we live is constituted by multiple layers with other kinds of origins. Time is always the object of diverse temporal techniques, and such techniques infuse time with small sacralities which, in sum, will construct the big sacrality of one year. In this way, the extreme differentiation of time-space results in the extreme differentiation of the sacred rituals. Then, certain sacred rituals have become hardly distinguishable from the ordinary and pragmatic practices. In the same context, cosmological ontology has been transformed into pragmatic ontology. This morphological transformation of cosmology could make Sesigi and its rituals possible, with the help of calendrical system
