Macromolecules with phosphorus functionalities have been synthesized in the course of this thesis. Its main emphasis was on linear polymers prepared from diisopropylvinyl phosphonate and diphenylvinyl phosphine oxide, plus the polyacid yielded by hydrolysis of the polyphosphonates. A second, smaller part was dedicated to the exploration of hyperbranched polymers prepared from AB2 monomers bearing one P-H group and two vinyl groups
