This project is on the study of slender concrete columns subjected to sustained short-term axial load and uniaxial bending with eccentricities at the ends, focus will be on the design approaches proposed in Chinese design code GB50010-2010. In order to make a better evaluation of this code, 2 design codes, i.e. American Concrete Institute ACI318-11 and Indian design code IS456:2000 will also be discussed and compared. Total of 150 columns which were tested by other researchers in the past have been selected for the analysis.
