With the increasing threat of terrorist attacks, it is crucial for government agencies to research on the ability of a building to resist progressive collapse. The alternate load path method, which is easier to adopt, is a popular method to mitigate progressive collapse. Tests were conducted with specimens designed in accordance with new Euro-Code 2 (EC2). The sub-assemblages include two-span beams with two column stubs and a middle beam-column joint. The test aims to investigate specimen behaviour until it reaches failure. An actual column-removal scenario was simulated as part of the Alternate Path Method aimed to mitigate progressive collapse.
