In recent times, there has been a significant increase in the number of catastrophic incidents worldwide. These catastrophes can be attributed to a variety of reasons ranging from climate change to poor governance and infrastructure planning, and yet still some more are due to the increased activity of the earth’s crusts. This trend seems set to continue unabated with mounting losses incurred by the insurance industry.
