This project was performed to prove a new concept of battery management in the battery pack of an electric vehicle or any high capacity multi-cell battery operated machinery. This report includes the basic of how a battery management system works and what are the current battery balancing techniques, it will identify some of the problem of these balancing techniques and provide an unique solution to this problem by introducing a new method of balancing of the cell which can be incorporated into the current techniques in hope of improving the lifespan of the battery pack.
