Triple negative breast cancer is an exceptionally aggressive cancer that affects younger women and is associated with poorer prognosis. This study reports on the expression of sFRP1 and cyclin D1 of the Wnt signalling pathway and how it relates to clinicopathological parameters and survival outcomes in triple negative breast cancer. In an immunohistochemical study of 109 triple negative breast cancer samples, we found that sFRP1 was correlated with age at diagnosis (P=0.014) and tumour growth pattern (P=0.013); Cyclin D1 correlated with lymphovascular invasion (P=0.045).
