In this report, the author will tackle the problems due to the increase in demand for electricity by introducing Demand Side Management (DSM) in the residential sector of Singapore. Development of Singapore’s new residential homes would be the main contributing factor to demand in electrical supply and a challenge for the utility suppliers in present day and in future to come. Utility suppliers must ensure demands are met or limited within a certain range to prevent undesirable results during peak periods. In the report, the targeted audience will be residential consumers.
