In recent years, nanotechnology has gained considerable attention owing to its numerous attractive properties. Bestowed with quantum mechanical effects, nanomaterials exhibit unique properties including high surface-to-volume ratio, great strength and ductility, ease of functionalization and enhanced cargo loadings.
