Ground movement monitoring is always an important topic for construction management and disaster prevention. Conventional inclinometers have some disadvantages in the practical application, like low stability, low durability and poor resistance to electromagnetic interference. This report presents the development of a new type of inclinometer based on Fiber Bragg Grating(FBG) sensor. FBG inclinometer can provide better performance in many aspects, including high accuracy, simple structure and low cost.
