This final year project report is about the study of the tensile testing of Aluminium AL6061-T6511 which is then compared with AL6061-T6 which were done by past year students. The difference between the two is that T6511 undergoes a 1% to 3% stretching to get rid of some of the residual stress after extrusion and lastly straightened to meet the straightness tolerances. Other than that, the chemical compositions and mechanical properties are said to be the same. To find out whether the mechanical properties remain the same, static tensile test and strain gauge for AL6061-T6511 would be done and compared with past reports for AL6061-T6.
