131 p.German Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SME's) are currently suffering from three major factors. First, the globalization of markets has led to an intensified international competition that German SME's had not fully anticipated. Second, sharpened credit eligibility criteria on the background of new credit regulations1 have already increased and are expected to further increase capital costs. Third, performance pressure on German banks has led to the evaporation of the traditional relationship banking, where SME's usually have relied only on one local bank that now may be forced to refuse further financing.Master of Business Administratio
