Theory of Mind (ToM) is the ability to take others’ desires, needs and knowledge into account. This is an essential ability for children to develop during preschool years. The current study employed a guided role-play intervention programme to investigate the role of adult-guidance and other factors such as language and executive function involved in children’s ToM development. Preschoolers (N = 26) were randomly assigned to either the guided role-play condition or the non-guided role-play condition.
