Municipal solid waste ash can be considered to have a fly ash and bottom ash component. As land is scarce and landfills are rapidly dwindling, the disposal of the municipal solid waste incineration ash has become a significant economic and environmental issue. One possible solution to the disposal problem would be the reuse of the MSW ash as civil engineering materials.
