Plasma spraying is a complex process in which the final coating is governed by various parameters. One of the most important factors is the effect of surface topology on coating profile which is the focus of this study. The simple model of a convex surface would be used as substrate for this study. Relationship between the final coating properties with the particles impact angle on the substrate would be established. The eventual goal is to develop a methodology capable of simulating the coating formation on a complex surface.
