RSS is a file format for describing a list of news. It has become more and more widely used nowadays as the world needs a way to get news faster. For a popular RSS feed, a huge number of subscribers downloads that feed from a server periodically. With this current client/server architecture of RSS feed dissemination, this huge number of downloaders makes the server load very heavy and consumes a lot of bandwidth.
