Model development and simulation for multimedia synchronization

Multimedia presentation technology has enormous potential for a myriad of appli-cation including academie classrooms, industrial training, and business presenta-tion. With the advent of presentation technology, it is possible to incorporate a wider range of media including media with actual presentation duration not known in advanced, in order to enable sophisticated user interaction. The duration of such a media can only be determined during the presentation. In this way, users are able to take more control over presentation by controlling the presentation se-quence and selection of the media. More specifically, the multimedia presentation is able to provide coarse-grained and fine-grained multimedia operation to enable sophisticated user interaction.
