In the digital domain, digital images are being easily circulated and copied over the network. Digital watermarking has emerged as a new technology to provide copyright protection and deter illicit copying and plagiarism of digital images. This research is to identify and develop a digital watermarking scheme that embeds an invisible digital watermark onto a still image without significantly affecting its image quality. A method based on the frequency domain DCT (Direct Cosine Transform) algorithm and human visual system is developed in this project.
