Functionalization of enamides via allylic alkylation was achieved under the catalysis of palladium. The 5-membered N-(1H-inden-3-yl)acetamides afforded the corresponding allylic alkylation products 3 in high yields. On the other hand, the 6-membered N-(3,4- dihydronaphthalen-1-yl)acetamides besides giving 3 in moderate yields, also provided another product 3’, wherein the enamide functional group had been hydrolyzed to a ketone group.Master of Scienc
