The aim of this dissertation is to devise a disaster preparedness and recovery plan for the Television Corporation of Singapore (TCS) Library and its collection. Library disasters of the last few years have shown that "It will never happen to my library" is the wrong attitude. Disasters not only destroy a library's collections, but they cost money and reduce staff morale as well. No library can be immune to such events, but being adequately prepared and knowing what to do during and after a disaster or emergency situation can make the difference between a temporary discontinuation of a service and a permanent loss.
