The amount of plastic waste generated every year in Singapore has been increasing. The lack of natural resources in Singapore has also driven the need to recycle materials for alternative uses. This project focuses on one such way of recycling waste materials; that is to use sand and plastic to make bricks for construction. Bricks samples were produced with varying amounts of polypropylene content and laboratory testing was done on these samples to determine its mechanical and engineering properties. Some of the testing include compression test, density test and moisture content test.
