The goal of this project is to incorporate organic polymers into semiconductor nano-crystal based solar cell to enhance the conversion of light energy to electricity. The efficiency of the solar cell can be varied by controlling the ratio of Cadmium Telluride (CdTe)/P3HT. Semiconductor solar cell is categorized as third generation solar cell. The traditional semiconductor solar cell fabricates together with organic polymers serves as hybrid solar cell which is easier to fabricate. Quantum dots and polymers are introduced to test out the performance with the current solar cell.
